
Explore the site of a lost village, a historic county jail, and a factory converted into a gleaming event hall, as part of Waterloo Region’s annual Doors Open on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
Admission is free from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to 27 buildings and locations across the cities of Cambridge, Kitchener, and Waterloo, and the townships of North Dumfries, Woolwich, Wellesley, and Wilmot.

This is the 24th year for Doors Open Waterloo Region, which is part of an Ontario-wide event celebrating community heritage and architecture, a news release says.
Thirteen of the 27 sites are buildings which have been adapted for reuse. These include churches converted to affordable housing and performing arts spaces, and offices transformed into jam halls for local musicians.
